One of the main topics of interest to Steampunkers is the inventiveness and creativity of the inventors of the Industrial Revolution. Hannibal, Missouri was home to many such inventors, working from their small warehouses and kitchen tables, some whose inventions brought great fortune and others whose inventions were not as well received. This exhibit celebrates the spirit of invention and tells the stories of these daring individuals who dreamed of a better way of doing things -- including Hannibal's own Mark Twain, who personally created three patented inventions and was involved with other inventors including Tesla and Edison.
This exhibit is free to all, as is the Hannibal History Museum, located at 200 North Main Street in historic downtown Hannibal, Missouri.
